Wisdom

As my days are numbered

So shall I meet them

With an open heart and a still mind

Knowing Peace is within my reach

in each moment,

Waiting for a quiet sign

To enter the realm of the possible

An outcast and stranger

no more, but a trusted friend

Knowing my hearts desires

As my moments are counted

So shall I greet them

With Love counted twice

for each heartbreak

Knowing Fulfillment

is closer than I imagined

Waiting for permission

To enter the sphere of my truth

A wasted life

no more, but an interesting journey

Toward my ultimate goal

As my Happiness is measured

I shall number my successes

And count my blessings

And as my Misery is weighed

I shall be Forgetful in my old age

Sir Thomas' Vision

The swashbuckler's tide had come to a rise,
his sword drenched in blood from the fallen
One last fight remained, he knew,
the war, now within, was upon him

His ship, The Glory faded fast
sinking to the bottom
Bringing with it all his past
like stern and mast: forgotten

Within The Glory sank his bride
still safe inside her quarters
“ What shall become of this, my soul? “
he thought, as he treaded water

 “So many sins committed fast,
My sword so often used”
“I lay it now in peace to rest
among the salty pews”

Adult in the Millennia

In another life

Just Yesterday

I was frightened

and alone

But in a sweeping instant

I grew up

and now I'm strong

I linger in my freedom

Full of life

my love goes on

For the little girl

that I once was

And the woman

I've become

Music and the Madwoman

Sweet, sweet music

Pumping my body

Full of life

Passion surging

Through my ears

Music

Pumping my heart

The beat

Of the soul laughing

Crying, smiling

Howling at the neon

The Madwoman freed

Shaking her hips

Closing her eyes

That beat

Ripping through

Her body

Impassioned

Hearing nothing

But that sweet, sweet music

The Grief

Like the river

Never ceasing

Never ending

Tears swell

And fall

For a loved one

Who left you

Invisible

Leaving no trace

From dry eyes

They swell

And fall

From a bleeding heart
